In a new TV ad, Annette Taddeo stands up for the middle class and pledges to lower health care costs
Miami, FL – Jose Felix Diaz has been with Trump on health care policy every step of the way. In 2012 he voted for a resolution urging the repeal of Obamacare, and even visited Marco Rubio in D.C. this year to support the passage of Trumpcare.
In a new television ad released in English and Spanish, Florida Democrats take Jose Felix Diaz and Donald Trump to task for supporting reckless policies that would kick millions of Americans off their health care, raise premiums, impose an unfair age tax, reduce coverage for Americans with pre-existing conditions, and slash Medicare.
“Jose Felix and Donald Trump are advocating for a healthcare policy that will raise health care costs and kick millions of Americans off their insurance. Plain and simple, electing more Trump Republicans like Jose Felix Diaz will devastate South Florida’s middle-class. We can’t afford politicians like Jose Felix Diaz who want to make healthcare more expensive for our families just to give the wealthiest 1% another tax break. Annette Taddeo is a working mom who will fight to lower healthcare costs and stand up for working families–healthcare is an important issue for every family in Miami-Dade and this ad makes each candidates’ stance on the issue clear.” said Florida Democratic Party spokesperson Johanna Cervone.
Jose Felix Diaz has a long record of trying to repeal and sabotage the Affordable Care Act in Florida:
2017: Met with Marco Rubio in Washington DC to discuss ACA repeal.
2012: Voted to urge Congress to repeal the ACA.
2012: Voted to spend taxpayer money to challenge the ACA.
2011: Voted to send anti-ACA amendment to the 2012 ballot, where it was rejected by voters.
2011: Voted to block the implementation of the ACA.
