We are the ones we’ve been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.”

Charlotte County Clubs
These organizations assist the local party in outreach and implementing our action plans. Clubs are different from caucuses because clubs are governed by local county DECs and do not have statewide relationships.
Charlotte County Democratic Club
The Charlotte County Democratic Club (CCDC) is a chartered club under the umbrella of the Democratic Party of Charlotte County (the Democratic Executive Committee: the DEC). Our purpose is to support the DEC and to strengthen and further the ideals and principles of the Democratic Party in the national, state and local campaigns, and to foster good fellowship among Democrats. We assist the DEC in outreach and implementing the Democratic Party’s action plans.
Charlotte County Democratic Women’s Club
The Charlotte County Democratic Women’s Club operates under the jurisdiction of the Democratic Women’s Club of Florida, Inc. (DWCF), who in turn answers to the National Federation of Democratic Women (NFDW). This structure allows the DWC far greater freedom and flexibility regarding its on-going political activities. The role of the DWC is to advocate for issues important to women, to help elect women to public office, and to assist in other local Democratic party activities. Men are welcome as members.
The Florida Democratic Party believes that all people have the right to be heard and to participate in the system. The FDP has developed statewide Caucuses where people of like minds and beliefs can join together to organize their communities within the Democratic Party. A caucus is an organization that has chartered with the State Democratic Party to operate as an official branch, and to recruit and operate county-level organizations. Caucuses are different from clubs because clubs are governed by local county DECs and do not have statewide relationships.
